Biography

My passion for music started early on, influenced by my father. At the age of 7 I started playing drums and began studying at a local school.

At the age of 13, I had the honor to began studying with the great Michael Lauren at the International Drum Academy.
During this time I had the chance to learn with great drummers in several Workshops and Masterclasses like Vicky Marques, André Silva, Trilok Gurtu, Michael Lauren, Bruno Pedroso, Hugo Danin, António Sanchez, Dave Weckl, Peter Erskine, Gergo Borlai, Virgil Donati, Gary Husband, Guillermo McGuill, etc...
I am currently a freelancer playing in several projects, from jazz, pop and fusion to fado and world music. 

I proudly plays/played in Bassab Eddy Slap Project, Arsénio Martins Aroma Trio, Uxu Kalhus, Zé Soares Quartet, João Brito Trio, Bia Caboz, etc...

In 2022 I recorded the album Bassab Eddy Slap Project, with Eddy Slap on the bass and Luis Lapa on the electric guitar.
